Absolutely, will do. I love the fact that people just throw these aside for a holley or afb, I kick myself in the
for doing the same for while. I had a few really good ones at one point, but I listened to all my buddies (dispised qjets, still do, lol), and ditched them in favor of something else, live and learn hahaha. Now I grab all the free quads that I can find
.
As of now I have the carb set up similar to what a 305 would've had, between the jets/rods/hanger/apt I think this should get me at least in the ball park. I understand the shock of the cfm rating, (I know it sounds crazy
) but, that's what it's capable of, not what it actually does. I run a 800 quad on my Olds 350 from a cadillac 500, I left the primary side completely alone (didn't even touch the apt), but I fattened up the secondaries considerably. At WOT, I'm good, runs great, part throttle cruise I'm a bit lean, I never really addressed this prior because I didn't have the parts to do so (but now I do
). So granted that's like comparing apples to oranges, but if you were to look at volume alone, we're only talking 63ci, where as the caddy vs Olds is 150ci. If anything, I'm thinking Ill be lean right off the bat. Time will tell, I should be able to fire this thing this weekend
