This was done yesterday...

Today nothing much. I bought 8 mm hydraulic line and made new gasline out of it... Where can I get that coil over gas or brake line?

Looks great, and I did the same thing - I painted all the surfaces with caliper paint.  The funny thing on my car was, that flat bar that sits across both shoes right under the wheel cylinder, that was completely missing on my car.   Whoever did the brakes last didn't put them back.  Lucky for my donor car.

Great job and keep updating us.

Bought Jeep rear drums... Fits nicely. But if I used lathe, they´d look like original ones...  :o

Long time, no see...  ;D

Jeep drums fit nicely...

And new tank is almost ready...
I fabricated new stone shield. It is much bigger than original, because the new tank is not as it should be!!  >:(  Someone has welded its lower half backwords!  :o This came from well known dealer. This was their thirteenth sold gas tank...  :P Talking about my bad luck... It is almost impossible to send it back and get a new one instead...

Do you have a part number for those drums?  The original ones are getting harder to get...

They are Wagner brand... and the number is BD125296. These were made in U.S. (no chinese s..t)

And if you want you can turn those like the originals! You can take those outer cooling "ribs" away. There is alot of stuff behind there.  I think that some day when my Eagle is ready to fly, I´ll do that.

Hello, hello, hello...

Haven´t done almost nothing for some time. I have had some terrible influenza and it has been very cold weather here in Finland. Too cold to do anything.

But here are some pics... And yes, that white stuff is frost  :o It is cold in my new garage.

New fuel tank... straps... and brake lines... Here you can see cover plate I had to fabricate to hide that lower part of my tank is backwards  :P

Here are new lines ...

Looks very nice under your car Juhap.  I am not used to seeing shiny, unrusted components in that area.

Great work as usual! I can relate to the cold weather and influenza. Too bad they wouldn't take back the "bad" gas tank. What type of coating did you use on it.

"Too bad they wouldn't take back the "bad" gas tank."

APD informed me: "We have contacted the manufacturers technical department and are waiting for a response from them. The distributor will make a refund if the tank is returned to them. Shipping costs are not covered under warranty."

And shipping cost is the issue. If I want new tank, I had to pay three times 110 $ !!! I think it is too much...

"What type of coating did you use on it."

I used paint that is (almost) the same than POR15. And then added several layers of paintable underbody protection where it is impossible to spray later...

That would be one expensive gas tank. It was their mistake so they should have paid the shipping.

That was my idea too, but they have their business policy, so...

Nothing much, but now there are brake and fuel lines... just a couple of clamps missing. And bolts of that plastic fuel tank shield... Now it is time to finish front axle and brakes...  :hello2:
