No english wheel, just hammer and anvil or vice... pliers or some hand tools... And MIG-weld.

No EW, no shrinker, no planishing hammer... I wish I had all of these.

Very nice! Simple tools with talent can do as much as fancy tools but I'm sure they would make it easier.

How did you make the bend for the inner fender lip without having the outer part curl in?  I used to cut 2X12's into the shape of the wheel opening, cut the shape of the wheel opening in the sheet metal with a space for the lip then sandwich the sheet metal between the two 2X12s, screw it together and then take a hammer and start hammering up the inner lip to make the 90 degree bend.  Even with this method the metal clamped in the 2X12's wanted to curl up at the lower part of the wheel opening.

I just finished the last welding of my Eagle!

So here it is...

It is done!  :P    It needs just some painting and polishing of old paint. This could have been done much better and easier than I did. I hope that some day I´ll get a much better front fender, so...

Thank you of those kind words. But it looks much better than it is...

One of my previous projects needed serious welding. Together with my friend we customized one very sad Borgward Isabella Kombi. It was a rustbucket... it needed 8 sq meters new sheet metal! And a full renovation of every parts.

I knew it, I just knew it... I had to weld two smaller rust holes! Right front fender wasn´t rustfree.  I had brushpainted it after sandblasting, I think it was 2003... I found a layer of bondo under that black paint... There has been somekind of fenderbender before. No pics...
