I have seen mail carrier vehicles with similar setups, but on older vehicles before air bags.
I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.

when i was a kid the lady who lived at the farm next door was a postal carrier who delivered mail in an eagle.  she ended up using her left foot to operate the gas and brake while she sat in the passenger seat

I knew a man who did that except he used his walking stick on the steering wheel.

I have been working with steering column. It needs a lot of work...

But meanwhile...

Someone had drilled five holes, I don´t know why?

But magic happens... No holes...  ;D

You're gonna have to tell us (ok, me) how you did that.  what was the repair/product/technique?

It was not a very hard job to do.

I smoothened edges...

... and several layers of soft body filler (of good quality). And sanding and so on...

and then paint... That´s it! Eagle dash is made of hard plastic material (I don´t know what) and I have done that same job before with good results. I hope this works too...  ;) There are now five spots without that "leather" structure, but that is better than holes.  ;D

That steering column job, it is kinda puzzle... Pics are taken...

Those inexpensive vinyl repair kits come with that swatch of material that allows you to replicate the leather look by applying it to soft materials before they harden.
