Can I ask what type of welder you are using? I have been wanting to buy a little one for small projects for some time now. I've never used a MIG with a wire feed but I used to be pretty good with an ARC welder back in the day (20 yrs ago).

I would need just a small welder that can run off 120V.

Can I ask what type of welder you are using?

I´m using a 150 A MIG-welder. It is almost 20 years old, a basic model. It is a little bit too small, but I´ve learned how to use it... Torch is the trouble. They´ve made it too simple and weak. I have changed it twice, and now it is about to fall apart...

I´m dreaming of a TIG welder and a plasma cutter, but they are so expensive...

Very good! Using lead is a dying art for auto repair. Everyone uses bondo for major fill areas nowadays. Bondo is only for covering very small surface dings and smoothing large areas IMHO.

Butane torch and stick of lead, love the looks of that! I've also seen guys use what looks like a large soldering iron that is used in soldering the old copper downspouts and flashing on houses.
