Pull and rebuild I guess. Congrats you got it in. That's an accomplishment in and of itself!

awesome job! if you rebuild that 304, be sure to use Chevy valves/guides, 1.84 intake, 1.5 exhaust, and positive seals. A healthy 304 is a wonderful thing! good luck, gz

Yes, I have to rebuild one of my 304´s... this one has been in a CJ for some time and not driven for a over ten years... so...

I´d like to have a T5 instead of automatic, but I´d need a flywheel. 360 would be better alternative, but it is not road legal, too much cubics...

Now i have my Sport Eagle in my garage, so this all preparation can happen at the same time... hope so...

Stop the press.... I don´t have to restore this engine. My friend is selling motor (a 304) from his Rebel The machine (he is getting right stuff under the hood, a 390).  New clutch arrived...
Some sunny day I´m going to do engine swap....  8)

Today I heard, that "new" 304 is available!   :hello2:

After few weeks I can bring it home. Now I have to do final assembley of my "silver beast" Sport Wagon.

It is this one...
