Here is what I did today...

It is that lost inch.

Finished!
Inner plastic fender had new place after that old crash. It was one inch closer inner fender. I closed those extra holes with body seal. I ordered hinge pins and bushings... If I´ll get them to morrow, there shall be a new door. And then I´ll start to work with fender...

Testing that "new door"... There is a huge gap between door and fender.  :censored:

I wouldn´t call this as a perfect fit...  :P

I had similar fitment issues between doors and fenders on my SX/4.  We adjusted for many hours and got it a little better but gaps are still pretty uneven.  After having it together for a while it doesn't seem very noticeable though.

Today I started to do things right... Door went to its right position. Needed some three hours! But now it is there.

Then... back to fender. Second time and there are still a gap... and other problems. You can see some drawings and some numbers...

Third test. After some hammering and modification, it looks much better... Writing means "hit me with your hammer"...

After few intensive hours I had done some patchwork and it was time to do fourth test. Now it looks almost done...

Nice work Juhap.  What an improvement!

There was a question a while ago about the color of Eagle's rear valence panels.  They showed a picture of a brochure that had an Eagle with its valence panel painted the sedondary color of the car.  No one could find an Eagle that had that.  But yours does!  So whoever asked that question if they really did this on the Eagles just got their question answered.  Cool!

Started with windshield. There was a lot of windshield adhesive all around... It needed some knives and other equipments.

I found some rust... what a surprise.  :rotfl:

There is rust all around the frame. And a half inch layer of bondo on the roof...  :o
