Control panel looks like this even today. Broken and blower switch is not working. So my Eagle really needs that...

And, yes those rails are called snow barriers. They´ll stop snow coming down. It is a canadian invention... but those are DIY and bolted through roof frame, not just bolted  to the roof.

I'm insanely jealous of your interior, it's very similar to the goals I have for mine, sport package, gauges, leather, the works. If I could have another eagle, it would be that same setup. Sadly, I have to abandon the center console idea for mine because I'd need a package tray, and mine came without AC.

Got a new hood insulator from APD. Price 35 dollars turned to 78 Euros with all taxes, shipping, customs and other costs...  :P

My new garage is almost finished, so it is almost time to drag my Eagle to new home... And do some final weldings before I can put all parts together... Hope very soon.

That "Star and Stripes" custom paint is actually AMC Frost White and red/blue adhesive tape.

Like all "real" customs or hot rods my American Hardtop has name. I call mine " Spirit of 76"...

Paint or tape, looks good to me Juhap.   I can barely manage "scotch tape".

Lookin' good, but please introduce the mechanic/inspector looking over the wagon (obviously deciding where to
start the rebuild).

I just found this thread, and I am impressed!!  It is nice to see quality work being done.  It appears that you are doing whatever it takes to get the car back on the road, and doing it right.  I suppose it is worth the time and expense to fix such a rare car in your country.  I am going through the same type of thing restoring the '80 Turbodiesel.  Getting parts for the VM engine is harder than I thought, and may be very expensive (kinda like getting Eagle parts in Finland).

Thank you of those kind words...

Before I began to work with Eagle, I did some fiberglass/paint job and got that "sport" lid of American Hardtop done. It was under construction about 5 years!  :o
