I showed the pictures to somebody, they said they are Ronal R-9's

I think your friend is right. Still like them very much. Sometimes you will see them on an old Mercedes.

"I've heard of RM, but using 2x4s for a lift kit is stretching things just a little."

It is so common to have 2" or 4" lift... so I did a 2x4" lift...  ;D  ;D  ;D

Seriously... Some sunny day I´m going to do some underbody sandblasting. And this old Chevy frontaxle gives more space under the car to do this hidious job...

"How much more do you have to do now?"  Sandblasting, painting, gas-/emission-/brakelines, suspension and rear end. Some welding. Engine, transmission... Oh my... there are so much to do. And this is not my only project!

My biggest project is a new garage!

"How many sq ft will it be?"

Whole area is 8.75x16.75 meters, so it is 146.56 sq m. I´m not quite sure, but is it 1431 sq ft??
And floorheated area is 94 sq m (918 sq ft).

And now... some progress.

No welding or anything since November 2008!  :P

But...

I found a new heater control panel. It came from biggest finnish US-car parts dealer for a very reasonable 10 € price! I´d call that a good buy... It used to had 358 € pricetag.  :o Previous owner of my Eagle had ordered it, but in some reason he left it there...

And that new carpet from ACC...

Here is my moneypit... err... garageproject. Almost ready to use. Some isolation and electric jobs to do. And heatersystem too... Money flies...

Looks good!
What's the function of the railings above the eavestrough? Something to do with snow or ice?

10 Euros for a brand new heater head is a great price!   Your Eagle will be happy with all the new parts and the new garage!

Control panel looks like this even today. Broken and blower switch is not working. So my Eagle really needs that...

And, yes those rails are called snow barriers. They´ll stop snow coming down. It is a canadian invention... but those are DIY and bolted through roof frame, not just bolted  to the roof.

I forgot your car was a 5 speed.   Our neighbors put a new metal roof on their home this summer and it has those snow stoppers as their roof has a very high pitch.  Looking out the window, they appear to work.
