Yes, glad to hear it was a simple repair and that all stayed safe.

Well, no more 4wd for now.It came out when climbing a hill going to work, made driving home in 2wd challenging, hoping a vacuum line came off.i have to look up a couple threads here now.

Update :it does have 4wd (or does again),I don't think I had it fully engaged or I may have had an erratic/hard shift in the trans.
May have those new tires soon too.
Used my Yankee ingenuity and plowed my driveway with some old flats will have to post soon :D

Years ago some some highway depts. cleared rural roads by dragging a railroad tie behind a truck, used differnet length chains, with longer chain on the right side, would deflect the snow off right edge.

No its not perfect but it works for me,I drag it into the street then back in the other side(u shaped drive).Ive shoveled this before and i figure I can fit 14 cars in the driveway,my back is out already and its early in the season.I do have another model with 7 tires on it,the bigger tires weigh more and do a better job.

If it works, great.

I still haven't found it bad enough out there to need to plow.  I'm really hoping that it warms back up and this stuff melts for me.  It's just too early for winter to set in.  Meanwhile, the 4WD hasn't had any problem getting in and out. :)

Well, I tattooed my mechanic today;in trade I'll be getting new tires on Tuesday yeah!!! I'll have to take pix of the Yokohama Geolandar M/T's; nice tires but with an alignment outta whack for a whole summer it wore the tires right out ,they are BALD,4wd or not it doesn't  matter if there's no traction to be had.$114 per tire compared with Bf Goodrich M/T at $76 per tire.they may be wide which is actually worse in snow than a thin tire but I like a "hairy" ride. My girl friend is scared to drive it,Alignment is happening after the tires, same day, hopefully.Oh yeah check out my new work I think Jen has updated some pix...www.Donstats.com

The new tires are on,waiting for day light to take pix,Car rides straight ;D same size(30x9.5x15)BF Goodrich all terrain...The idler pulley on the water pump almost wore itself off. :o I believe I tightened it too much when i changed the alt.belt, new one should be in tomorrow.bearing was shot and almost launched itself into my radiator ;whew!glad that didn't happen.I thought my trans was about to explode, but then me and Larry (mech.) noticed the noise was coming from the front, checked the belts, yeah wobbly pulleys very bad. :-\
