I second that! I'm kinda anxious of wildlife in the road now;the night before that I almost hit a Moose in west Burke on Rte 5A,skidded ,did a 180,got stuck (2wd) got her turned around and came across the same Moose further down the road ???I was never into hunting but now I wish these guys would bag a few more .I figured my car is safe to about 25-30 in the snow w/ 4wd,but if some thing is standing in the way you better hope you have a change of drawers ;).

My biggest fear is having a dear come through my windshield and killing me while driving.

My best friends Dad has killed 32 dear in 28 years. They are all over the freeking place up here.

I see at least two or three herds one or twice a month and single deer at least every other time I drive at night.

Yup,just about every other night at least one.I did have one try to jump the 99 Monte z34 when i lived in Fl ( they are small there) landed right in the windshield,it's head dented the upper windshield/roof line,legs took out the fender and rear view mirror,had glass all down my shorts and down into my boots,the windshield almost caved in,looked like a blast of snow in your face, but it wasn't snow  :'(drove it home with the hazards on ,police got behind me for a bit  but let me go on my way.glass in between fingers etc. bad night.

New update;
 The trans is almost kaput.I changed the filter and fluid and gasket again on Sunday night/Monday morning( oil change too).It can climb hills again but now i get a bad vibration when going above 40-45mph.Probably the trans ,maybe the left half shaft,out of balance tire /rim?
  Also another exhaust leak at either the header collector or at the manifold,I think from when I rolled it onto its side
  I'm going to have to put her aside for now and try to get a more economical ride to work.Keep her as my weekend car,probably try to remove trans myself when weather permits.

Well while I was under there the other day I looked at it but it seemed ok visually,maybe that would be a nice lil fix,I think I need at least a new torque converter,but I'll try that. ::)

We definitely need a picture of that!

The old girl has been side lined for the mean(lean) time.I start her up each week ride around the house,Gas for her is up to $4.30/gal @ 18 miles per gallon :'(...3 other cars to work on too.Now driving a Nissan Sentra for $1! and $40/week compared to $135/wk.Keeping her though ;as soon as the g/f andher kid start working I should be much easier to save for the tranny work...thats all for now

Well its been a while since I've been on ,but no change in eagle's situation,she still starts right up each time I try even on the day it was -37F!!!!.4 foot snowbank piled up in front of her so she's not going anywhere soon
 Some one tried to steal it one day so while I wasn't home so its in the back now.and yes the Nissan died,now sharing the Dakota with my girlfriend.The tranny pan has kinda lost its bright paint shine ...

  Well its been a while since I last visited,so I thought i'd stop by for a spell. She's still in the carport protected from the wind and snow anyway.trans is locked up tight.When It warms up i may pull the driveshafts and roll her out.from there who knows. I think when I rolled it the trans cooling lines mixed fluid with the coolant. Coolant in the trans is not good :(. The pos battery post also cracked making it difficult to remove safely but i got it out w/ no spills.Better to remove than to find your engine bay dissolving to rust. I still think I may want to lower her too with all new parts...I guess time (and money) will tell
