I had a 92 with power everything right before I moved from Utah, it started having fuel delivery problems 4 days before move day and i had to sell it cheap to a guy that was interested in my K-5 blazer (that i ended up using to move)

Yup, you know it.... I'll have a hard time destroying a Wagoneer... but I'll do it in a heartbeat if it beefs up my Eagle, lol! Though... I don't honestly think I could do it unless the wagoneer was in sad shape... and even still, i would probably donate or sell what's left to a wagoneer lover rather than scrap it.

I'd rather strip a wagoneer for parts than let her drive it, LOL!!!!! I'm kidding... she's a good driver with bad luck right now. It's like the "Ghost Jeep" or something... who knows. I will know more in the AM tomorrow.

Man... i gotta get my AC fixed in the wagon... it's totally legal and road worthy now. Fully covered insurance. New personalized plates... (will take a month to arrive), and she's running great.... but :censored: guys... someone HAS to help me with this AC... PLEASE!!!

Are you sure its just not the water shut valve not working?  Or isn't the compressor kicking in at all?

Compressor kicks on IF I hook it up directly to the battery and it blows cold air... but when it's hooked up to the original wiring... it's not kicking on for whatever reason... bah. Went to AutoZone for a universal thermostat... thought I'd change it anyways if it was cheap... save me a project later on, but they don't carry them.

I still need to bypass it and check, just haven't had the time just yet.

Your test sort of indicates the built in switch within the control head.  Or perhaps a bad fan switch.  The fan could work but I believe there is an extra connection on the fan switch for A/C cars that also allows the clutch to energize.

There should be a low pressure switch somewhere in the system (usually on the receiver/drier) that senses low pressure and will not allow the compressor clutch to energize.  Find that switch (with the engine running and air on), and short the two wires together.  If your compressor comes on, the switch is bad.  Sometimes there is a Schrader valve under the switch and there is no need to drain the refrigerant, but if no valve, the refrigerant will need to be removed to replace the pressure switch.

It seems like I remember a 3-prong plug coming off the condensor unit up by the driver's headlight... I don't think it was hooked up to anything..... I just thought about it, but I had to replace the condensor... not sure if that had anything to do with any of it.

Im going to tear into it tomorrw... I'll have more info then. Thanks guys. You can bet that I'll be back asking more questions when the time comes.

That sounds like it.  Just find the connector that plugs into the switch, and plug it in. Your A/C should work.

The condensor was busted open from the wreck and the system was already totally drained. I replaced the condensor and recharged the system myself with R134a.

I found the plug that was mentioned above... I plugged it in and... the clutch kicked right on. The strange thing is that the plug looks like it should be connected to a three prong connector. The connector only had two prongs. But it's working so Im not complaining. What sucks is that I found this after I already ripped out the dash to find the thermostat. It was already jumpered for whatever reason.... I hooked it back up like normal and it functioned like normal.... except the controler was broken. Literally cracked across the middle and the lever was popping out of the top.... so that became a huge hassle replacing it as well. Now the interior is in a million pieces... BUT... the AC works, LOL!
