The International V8s are very robust engines, but they are all gas units. I wouldn't bother installing one in an Eagle when so many Jeep V8s are available. The turbodiesel SD33T is an inline 6 and an ideal diesel Eagle swap.

Awesome.  After Tootie, I think my eagle count will stay right where it is (for now)  Momma was not very pleased. :-\

My big air comperssor took a dump last night so $$$ gets to get thrown at a new one today.  Was not expecting that one.

Drove Bucket around a little this weekend.  I believe she will be needing a tranny rebuild in her very near future.

This leaves me with a couple of options: 
- Do I pull her heart and throw it in Tootie?
- Do I rebuild the Tranny in bucket and put a new engine in Tootie?
- Do I.........????

I'm meeting with the owner of a performance shop this week.  He specializes in the I-6 and clains on his extreme builds he can ger 520whp out of the 4.2 block.  That's not really what I'm looking for but it's nice to know I will know someone who really knows the 258.  I'm not looking for an $8K build on an engine either.  If I could get 180-200whp, I'd be very excited though (and have an engine that lasts over 100K miles.

I have the rear springs and the front coils too for Bucket but if Bucket donated an engine, the suspension will go to Tootie as well and bucket will end up witha  solid axle swap. 

More good news:  I'm having a custom push bar (with brush guard option and light tabs) built for both Bucket and Tootie.  I comissioned 5 of them (Ultimately I have 5 Eagles) but really it helped the cost per each one down enough for it to make sense.

I may have 1-3  for sale soon  :)

Next comission will be wagon rear window louvers.......

I'm just tired of sitting on projects.  I have 47 acres with too many projects to count (all unfinished)  The Eagle(s) ae the most practical ones to get to work on.

I think we all should just pool our funds buy a plot of land and make a true eagles nest "Parts" yards for all of us that find eagles that can't be easily repaired. but have many donor parts. Only question is Who would be in charge of running it?  :rotfl:

There are several places like this around the states. Check out the Eagle Sanctuary Section. The logistics of having just one place for all things Eagle related is just impossible. Spending 500 bucks for transporting a car that is only worth 200 doesn't make sense. That's why there are more regionally located Sanctuaries. Where parts can still be stripped and shipped! :)

I have a great plot in Yoder that is definitely out of the way.

If anyone in CO needs a home for a busted Eagle, I can make that happen. 

I only keep that house as a place to keep my "stuff"  I don't really have any other reason for it.  Maybe a good place to go for the Zombie Apocalypse

There are many more Sanctuarys than even listed. Once you have one Eagle, you quickly find a second and third that you just can't resist. Notice that most Jeep guys don't experience this. Eagles are exceptional vehicles and are also exceptionally addicting!

If I had that much land, I'd have about 50 cars by now.  :o  Instead I just have a bi-level in the 'burbs with four AMCs on the premises.  Might just be a matter of time before the one in the back alley catches the attention of bylaw enforcement.

By that criteria, my house would almost qualify.  My daily driven Eagle sits out front, while out back I have a Concord and Eagle in the garage, and another Eagle behind the garage.  The latter three are all junkyard saves.

I also have six other AMCs scattered over three other locations.  Addictive?  Nooo...  ;D

A Concord or Spirit is just an Eagle with a limp.... You've got official status by my book!

I've also got mine spread out over four properties within a 5 mile radius. Relative to the whole nation, its all one facility by my standards.

I comprimised w/ momma tonight.  I just bought Tootie and she was not pleased.  So i sold my GT Bradley and gave het the $$$.  Little does she know I'm secretly making room for more Eagles......  Anyone want a 66 F-100 4x4?  That's next on the list to go away.....
