Not really a life long, hopefully she'll get some new paint this summer so i can place it on the back burner so i can focus on my kammback and SX/4.  Here in a few weeks i will have the power mirrors installed, new locks installed, and rewire and replace the speakers. ;D

That is quite a to do list.  Can't wait to see it after that checklist is complete.

yup, that is just for the copper wagon, kammback needs some floors and pretty much a freshing up of all of the other systems.  The SX/4 is probaly the worst of them all, looks good inside and outside but the underside is just rotten.  That car is in the slow process of getting totaly disassembled, put on a frame jig, and a complete new frame made up.

That is quite a to do list.  Can't wait to see it after that checklist is complete.
all of the exterior, interior, and engine mods are finished on the wagon.  The mirrors are factory eagle power units and the color is going to be the same as vangremlin's kammback (the closest color I have seen to the factory copper brown metallic)

With some recent family news the wagon is going to be on hold along with everything else till probly the end of june.  gotta prep for the 38 hour drive .... YET AGAIN

Hey thereverendbill can you or will you tell me when you changed your four spoke wheel to the three spoke sport wheel how did you get your horn to work?I changed my steering wheel from the four spoke to the three spoke and not sure how to hook up the horn wire. So If you could steer me in the right direction I would be greatful. I have all the parts I'm sure just don't know what to do with that wire that was hooked to the four spoke wheel/horn. Thanks!!

the horn hook up is totaly different between the 4 spoke and the 3 spoke.  what you have to do is remove the lock ring under that plastic cover that is behind the wheel and change the horn ring and lock ring with the 3 spoke units.

The horn on the 3 spoke wheel has a button that compresses to get ground rather than the wire that the 4 spoke uses.

What i would do is look for an early cherokee (XJ) in the salvage yard with the 3 spoke wheel, remove the wheel and purchase the needed parts.  I will send you a PM with my phone number so that i can walk you through what is needed because I am having a real hard time putting it all into a how to ;D

I have been letting the wagon sit at home due to it's unwanting to keep timing and using the 1991 chevy caviler that my sister gave me to get to and from work.  This week i ordered a new timing chain through work and yesterday we took advantage of the nice day (after the rain it got up to 75 degrees).  We pulled the timing cover to find out that indeed i was in need of a new timing chain.  The chain has enough slack to be rubbing on the inside of the timing cover.  Sadly I have to go out of town for most of today to deal with a problem that arose from my oldest son (kids don't listen these days).  My father said that he is going to finish the job for me so we can have the car back on the road (I am not a huge fan of the limited space crapiler).
