It all depends on when the "early birds" arrive. We wont know that until a bit closer to the date when we start getting word on when people will be arriving.

I would need at least 4hrs to retun home after pick you up. So if I could pick you up around 2 or 3pm... we could do that no problem. Possibly later.

Sorry guys! The day has always been the first Friday of August... I assumed it would be this year too. I have no idea why they would change it, but there's nothing I can do about it. Holler at me through PM if you incur any fees for switching airline tix or anything. Also, please update you RSVP to refelct the changes... I'm sure wont be able to switch their vacation days around. I know it's going to be a PITA for me to change my days around... but I will do so, and I hope you can too. This event will still be the biggest event of the year! Don't miss it!! Everyone that missed it last year was really bummed when they found out how much we had... don't make that same mistake this year!!!

Btw... here is the official event that we are piggy backing. The flyer just came out this week.

I think the only person that has paid for any ticktes/reservations was Petr... I will contact him personally and see what I can do to help him if he incurs any fees.

I am so sorry guys, there was nothing I could do to prevent or fix this... I maybe shouldnt have assumed it was on the 7th, but again... it has ALWAYS been on the frist Friday of August. ALWAYS.

I will post their official flyer in just a bit. Please PM me if you incurred any fees due to this change... I will do what I can to help.

I sent out an email today to the event coordinators "warning" them of the flock that will be arriving... I promised them that we'd be on our best behavior and that there would be no bird poop on their cars. Please don't make a liar out of me, LOL!

Give me some more time to talk to some of these hotels before you make reservations to see if I can get us a group discount or something. It'd make things run alot smoother if we all stayed together.

So have you found out if any of these fit the Rambler Mentality as a good place for many of us to stay?  I am thinking we need to reserve soon unless the car show does not get many who actually stay in the area.

Yeah, Ive been workong on it all week... its not looking good so far, lol... the problem is that want to know how many rooms and they want me to book them right away.... gah!

So Far... here's the pickle... not only do we have the car cruise that night, but we also have the Cal Ripken Baseball playoffs for the kiddos... so all the teams have the rooms booked. Out of all the hotels above... one of them had rooms left and they wanted 109$ per room and thats WITH the discount.

I deffinetly recomend guys bunking together. I have been inquiring about 2-queen rooms. I found another place with plenty of rooms available... right where you will come off the interstate and they did give us the dsicount... 85$ for a two queen room. I'll keep searching for now... but I say you guys better start buddying up, lol!

Ok its updated... I found a hotel at 59.99 + a 10% discount.

I think thats the best were going to get... I called about 12 hotels.

Start getting those reservations in now!

These guys were very nice and offered us a 10% discount on the rooms. Just mention the AMC Eagle car Club when you call. The hotel isn't like the Hilton, but it's clean and in a central location with an attached karaoke bar and restaurant with good breakfast food. It's right off the historic town square too... maybe we could get some good shots of our Eagles there! I recomend this hotel... I have stayed there many times. It's also the best deal I could find.
