Hey Petr! I was hoping you would make it out!

Sometimes, it's much cheaper to get tickets last minute... I went through Orbitz to get my brother a ticket last minute and paid 500$ from Frankfurt Germany... we were checking the other day to book it in advance and it was 1500$... ew!!!

Of course the 500$ ticket was one way.... so... idk man. You make it here, and we'll take care of ya when you get here! Let me know when you start getting tickets and stuff so I know where/when to pick you up.

Remember... it would be easiest for us to pick you up in Moline... however, if it's going to be much cheaper to fill up a tank of gas and drive to Chicago to pick you up... we can do that. The only thing is that you would probably have to fly in the day before the meet so that I could be there the day of to meet up with everyone else. Also let me know when your ready and I'll start pulling up some more hotel information. Hotels book pretty fast for this event...

Keep in touch with me Petr and feel free to PM me with any details and we'll get you squared away. We may even find someone to bunk with you and cut some costs with you guys. I think a couple of the guys shared a room last year to save on some cash too. Also... if your coming in from Chicago... maybe someone from the nest will be in the area to pick you up and bring you down with them. If not... thats fine. I need to ride up there to Chicago and pick up some wheels I bought recently anyways.

Either way works for me man!!

Thank you very much. My plan is to fly to Chicago and from there by AMTRACK to Galesburg. But you can do one thing for me. Ask in AMTRACK if  is necessary to buy train ticket in advance (I would have to do it thru internet), or if is einough to come and buy it before I will go straight on the station. Because I don´t know exactly what time I will be in the city and how fast I´ll get to railroad station rom airport. Here trains are not so crowded, so is einough when you want to go by train to come, to buy and to go. One way trip to Galesbug  costs $20, and it is cheaper and faster than by Greyhound. If someone will go from Chicago area - that´s good, but for me is not a problem to travel by train.
As soon as I´ll get air ticket I´ll know details. If I´ll be happy, I can pay  $750 for round trip Prague - Chicago - Prague.

I wonder what the cost is to go from O'Hare or Midway to the train station?  That may be the most shockingly priced ride.  Unless there is a shuttle???

I was wondering that as well. Last time I used a cab in Chicago it cost me 24$ for a 2m ride.

I think you can buy tickets without advance notice Petr... the trains come and go from Chicago all the time and its not a long drive. I could make it up to Chicago and back on about 60$. And Id meet you in the middle for gas. So lets see what its going to cost you total... might be cheaper for me to drive, but hey... if you can save me a trip, lol... by all means!

Honestly though, it's not a big deal if I need to come get you... I really need to make a drive up there anyways to pick up a set of wheels I bought for the SX4.

That's cool Chas.  You beat me to it.  I have been trying to find a place that can do an Eagle Nest banner or sign for me.  I am taking out Senior High Mission trip to Car Henge.  Can't take the Eagle, but the plan is to have an Eagle Nest banner to hold up.  I thought after that I would ship it to you for the meet.  Thoughts?

Hey Petr, I got your message andI keep forgetting to get back with you.... its been really busy here.

Anyways, we haven't really set an exact time yet. I would guess sometime after noon on Thursday for the "early arrivals"... otherwise... probably like 8am on Friday so we can all get together for breakfast. I'll give a quick rundown of the meet and then we'll all head out together and arrive at the Car show together so we can park together.
