Since the last update, much has happened, I got sick for a bit, lost a couple days due to going to bed as soon as I got home from work, dragged rear for a day or so cause I still felt like :censored:, Saturday 10/13 came around, got a late start due to work in the am, then taking a trip out to pick up a replacement windshield, and finally cleaning out the barn in preparation for the Eagle. Worked until about 2:30 am, ended with this.

Sunday: Right back to work, finished the filler work, cleaned the car, masked it off (I flipping hate masking) and finally shot some primer at the ole booger.

Then I cranked the heat in the barn, and walked away for a while, lol. Returned to the car a couple hours later to do wet sand battle, ended up needing to do another coat of primer, I had wanted to paint it Sunday, oh well I guess.

In rolls Monday, Got started at about 6pm, wet sanded the prior nights work, cleaned the car, remasked a few areas, cleaned the car, and started slinging paint at it.

First coat:

Last coats:

The result:

Not bad for leftover single stage crap I had laying around.

Tuesday night 10/16, went home and dove into work head first, the result:

Windows in, moldings on, car semi cleaned and 10/17:

it's back in action!  :blob1:

Thanks! My plan, hopefully, I can find a 4dr hornet or concord in the jy, and grab the sail panels from that. In theory it should work, lol. Time will tell though, if I absoultely had to, I could modify the existing panels, little plastiwelding, and maybe have something decent  :dontknow: .

Nothing really to update here, was fighting carb issues (rebuild solved it), fuel leaks (fuel lines, gas tank leaks), choke issues (switched to a manual to solve), yadda, yadda, yadda. Otherwise been running well, and seems to be happy serving as my daily commuter  8) . So just a few pics of some current doings.

Little distributor tuning.

New throttle bracket to replace the cobbled one, little scrap metal, couple holes, few whacks with the hammer, couple tweaks with the vise, lol.

Much nicer.

Last ditch attempt to get the electric choke working, adapted a Rochester unit to the motorcraft. Fail, bound up and wouldn't work properly, I think I know why, but I switched to a manual choke for now (got really sick of tinkering with the thing).

The junkyard crab.

Yay tractor parts!

Rebuilt.

Solution for adapting the MC, utilizing a factory adapter from a 304.

So far no problems.

Took it out on a little road trip couple weekends ago, out to Albany, over to Vermont, up through the Green Mountain range then back home (roughly 330-350 miles). Ole booger did well, no hicups, no complaining, and averaged about 23 mpg.  ;D

The only pic I took on the trip, lol.
