Hello,

A small group of my closest friends and I are battling our middle age problems  through shared Wisconsin-centric adventures.  Initially we took a small aluminum boat down the entire Wisconsin River (more than 400 miles) in a long weekend.  The next adventure was riding home-built e-bikes from LaCrosse to Sheboygan in 18 hours and 48 minutes to celebrate Wisconsin's formation in 1848.  Our upcoming adventure is to bring an old Kenosha-produced vehicle back to Wisconsin and road trip around the outline of the state - starting at the old AMC plant and returning to the same spot (staying as close to the borders as possible without leaving the state) - hopefully in time for the Kenosha homecoming car show in late July. The trip should be a lot of fun and another great bonding experience for our group of friends.  It will also be a great way to view our wonderful home state of Wisconsin through a new lens.  Our chosen vehicle is a 1981 AMC Eagle Sx4 and we had it shipped from Cheney, WA.  Getting the old Eagle roadworthy and reliable enough to begin and complete the 1600 mile adventure has taken some work.  She's not pretty, but has solid bones.

Our past adventures have been exciting, exhausting, and very rewarding.  Although there is no guarantee that this adventure will reveal any life altering truths, I hope that many people will appreciate the importance of friendship, perseverance, and general adventure.  I've been lurking on this forum for a bit and decided to share our story (and maybe ask for a little help when needed).  Thanks for having me in the den!

This sounds like a great adventure. What part of the Wisconsin area are you in? I'm from the La Crosse area, but no longer there. My Eagle is at my parents house there, along with all of my extra parts. Feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Thanks!  I'm from La Crosse originally too, and will be going through town around the state - hopefully on day 1 of the 3 day road trip.

And thanks for the kind words about the adventure.  I'm getting really excited about it!!

Very cool! I'm actually from Holmen, but I'm doing good if people are familiar with La Crosse  :rotfl:
