Hello everyone and happy New Year! I wanted to let you all know that if you need replacement faux-chrome strips for your bumper end caps for 81-88 Eagles they're now available at TheEagleStore.com.

As I'm sure most of you are aware, the "chrome" strips are actually made out of plastic (with a foil reflective layer) and have a tendency to degrade over time, resulting in discoloration, cracking, or simply falling off the car. While there are a million different stick-on chrome kits available at your local auto parts store, you probably won't find anything that's the right shape, as the original Eagle ones have an unusual "D" profile with dimensions that are hard to match.

Well now you don't have to worry. You can pick up a replacement set already cut to the correct size with a pre-applied 3M VHB tape (that's the good stuff). For those interested in a more modern look, semi-gloss black is also available in lieu of chrome.

As of right now the only rear pieces available are for wagons. If you SX4, Kammback, etc. owners want to take some measurements and let me know how long your chrome trim is on the rear I can have different lengths made available pretty quickly.

Thank you for your support!

No problem Vangremlin!

Pretty much every Eagle I've seen in person has needed these replaced, including my own, so I figured it was a reasonably high priority item for the community. Hopefully everyone else agrees.
