Hello there,

I'm super pumped to finally have joined this forum! I've actually been looking (as guest) through this Universe of Eagle Know-How since 2015 when I bought my first 1980 AMC Eagle Wagon (I've got another 1981 Eagle) and it's been an epic adventure ever since. I'll share the full story sometime down the road, but make this a shorter introduction instead:

My name is Lukas, I'm originally from Germany, but moved to Canada over 10 years ago. I fell in love with the Eagles after I saw one in Kaslo in the Kootenays, British Columbia (not far from Spokane, Washington) from where my buddy Herbie arranged the deal / sale of our beloved 1980 Wagon in Kamloops, B.C.
Back then my wife and I drove it as a daily driver through the seasons and mountains for two years, before I replaced the engine with a 1989 Jeep Cherokee motor. Life took many turns, years went by and even though I stored it inside a Shelter Logic tent rust has done bad things to the floor pans & rocker panels, but not much to the structural frame and the rest of the body frame. I just blocked it up and I got started to remove the rust, before learning the process of restoration as I move along. I've read through many threads and posts this past while and I'm overwhelmed by how encouraging so many passionate Eagle owners here are. For a short while I thought I had damaged my Eagle beyond repair through neglect, but now I feel excited and highly motivated to bring it back to the glory it deserves.

Looking forward to meeting all of you here! :)
