Windshield Washer knob
« on: July 14, 2022, 12:55:33 PM »
I have a windshield washer knob but it doesn't fit on the shaft of the switch. The hole is way too big. I think there's an insert or similar in it. If I order one will it have the insert, or is there something I'm missing here?

Yes, there is an insert in the wiper knob.  Have you found new knobs to purchase?

You can get the Crown Jeeper repops for about $8.  Search "Crown J5459189" and you'll find them.

Guessing they have the insert then. Yes, I've been looking at new knobs just need to be sure that will actually fix my problem.

A lot of times the insert - a metal spring clip thingie - will stay on the switch shaft.  Especially if the plastic knob is old and/or heat baked.
