How to open trunk on eagle sx4

Hi i feel kindof dumb asking this ,but how do you open the trunk on an sx4 eagle?? Bought one to restore it a few days ago and i cant figure it out.... I also dont have the keys if those are involved

I believe there is a release button in the glove box of some SX/4's but not sure if they all had them.  Good luck!

From what I recall (could very possibly be wrong) you can pull the back seat & crawl in the trunk that way to open it from inside.

SX/4s with the rear spoiler have an electric release in the glove box.

Without the spoiler, there is a lock on the trunk lid.

I can confirm that this is possible, although I remember it taking some trial and error with a screwdriver to figure out how to release the trunk.

I believe with the SX/4 you can just fold down the rear seats and have easy access to the hatch area.  Depending on how badly you want to open the hatch, you can pull the trim panels and then undue two bolts that holt the "latch catch" in place.  There is probably a better term for it but I can't think of it right now lol.  I've done that before with wagons and SX/4's to get the hatch open.
