Hello all! Recently I and my two friends have recently purchased a 1987 AMC Eagle with a 4.2L I-6 engine in it. We have plans to turn this into our household's mess around vehicle. The current ideas for the car are stripping down the interior, possibly changing the seats into race seats that can accept a 4 or 5 point harness, adding a lift and large mud tires, and installing a snorkel. We are all students and won't start any work on the Eagle until school is out and we have the time and money to work on the car. We are all very new to working on cars and I was hoping for some helpful suggestions on where we should start. Thanks for all your help!

Welcome  to the forum. Would love to see some pictures of your car. Lots of options for mods and info to do so on here. Depending how much and which direction you want to go. Whether it be reliability mods and upgrades to full axle swaps and fab work.
