1985 AMC Eagle 4X4 Station Wagon
Located in South Vancouver.
This car is in great shape for the year and kilometers! I am selling because three vehicles is at least one too many... Also because with a little experienced (or patient) TLC, she'll be one heck of a car; unfortunately I've taken on too many projects and I'm afraid she wont get the attention she deserves...
This car would be great for a hobby/career mechanic or even someone with some space that is looking to practice their wrenching skills and have a really unique vehicle to show off. She was my daily driver for about 6 months in 2018 and since then I have taken her 2 to 3 times a month for errands on the weekends and the occasional road trip. Right now the only thing keeping her from the road is the drivers side upper control arm mount is ready to go and requires welding (discovered two weeks ago).
Pros:
- Oil changes done every 5000km.
- Many upgrades and replacements already completed (see below).
- Full repair manual comes with the car.
- Interior in great condition!
- Starts first time, every time.
- Has made at least three trips to Kamloops and back in the last 18 months without issue.
- 4x4 actuates properly with the switch and can be driven on dry pavement due to the viscous coupling.
- The transmission was rebuilt about 150,000 km ago.
- Turns heads.
Cons:
- There is a gap in the steering that will have to be addressed; but it hasn't gotten worse while I've owned the car.
- Control arm mount will require welding to repair.
- No test drives further than the street where she sits due to the control arm mount.
- Stubborn slow leak on one of the tires.
More in-depth:

Requires work:
