Hi all,  I'm new to the forum here,

I've never owned an Eagle but a good friend did back in the day, it was a fun little car.  What brought me here to the forums today is a metal emblem I came across that may have been used on a special trim package AMC Eagle, it's a small 1 3/4x2 1/4" stamped metal emblem that I've attached a picture of.  Did  AMC ever offer an Eagle commemorating the Lunar landing?

Thanks for looking.

I have never seen or heard of such an "eagle" emblem.

Thanks Mudkicker, I found that emblem in a box of OEM NOS, AMC and jeep emblems, badges and scripts bought at a garage sale, so my assumption was this was AMC  Eagle related. Off to fleabay it goes. Thanks for your reply.

The Eagle referred to was the code name of the lunar module. Armstrong radioed the message "Houston, ... the Eagle has landed". That was July of 1969. Might be where AMC got the name idea.
