New here, 82 sedan.  I looked everywhere, and maybe I'm missing something, but I got all the bolts/screws off to remove my front end cap, and it's held to the fender with some fitting I can't get to the back side of.  I don't want to snap anything, looks like a plastic square thing.  removed the silvery trim in the blakc rubber horizontal stripe, and it's just a square flat face.  How do I get the whole cap off with out damage!?  Thanks ahead...

As I recall there are a couple bolts behind the bumper, and if they are removed the whole endcap assembly can slide out sideways.  The whole L shaped bracket comes out with the endcap.  I looked for pics, but couldn't find anything in my stash.

Good luck!

There is a bolt (or two) that hold the end cap to the fender, in addition to the ones mentioned by amarshall that attach it to the bumper.  You have two options for getting to the nuts that attach to the bolts.  One, you can remove the inner fender (or partially remove it) and access the nut(s).  The other option is to remove the headlights and headlight bucket and you will be able to get to the nut.

Good luck!!

It is my understanding that FRONT bumper end caps will interchange across all years and models 1981-88.  The 1980 end caps are unique and won't fit on later models.
