New Headliner!

I had a local upholstery shop here in town redo my headliner in my Eagle wagon.  I took the vehicle to them and got it back the next day.  The price was $145 and well worth it for me not to have to do it myself!

That's a great price. I've done 2 wagons by myself and if I would of had to fill a swear jar, it would have cost me more than $145.

Good decision!  I did my wagon recently.  Fabric and adhesive was at least $40, so you really came out good.  I actually had my wife help me, and we managed to keep the mood positive.  Barely.

Glad you posted that. Looks great! all the fabric has been pulled off of mine and it just has fuzzies left on it. Will have to see if I can get that good of a deal...

I did the headliner in my waggie back in 2001.   It just recently started falling again (the usual backing foam rotting issue).    Its ashamed there's not a headliner fabric with foam that'll last more than 15 years!!   I blame the EPA.........

I used vinyl on my last 2 Eagles. No foam to deteriorate and much easier to clean.

I have the SX/4 "lil bro" to your wagon down here in San Antone as one of my long put-off project vehicles. I redid my headliner so long ago, it should be coming down any day now. The Texas heat kills headliner foam and adhesive. I don't think I would attempt to do it myself, again. You found a great price deal, there.

Also, I have a vehicle with a tan perforated vinyl headliner adhered directly to very thin plywood, probably a home-done job by the previous owner, and it matches the seat upholstery vinyl. Its an appropriate look for the type of truck it is.
