1983 AMC EAGLE SX4 258 6 cyl A/T with 63K act. for sale

Ok I have officially given up on my Mechanic to fix my SX4. The car runs great in first gear and on level ground but the minute the automatic shifts into 2nd gear you have to feather the gas pedal back and forth to get the car to go fast enough to shift to 3rd,and once in third she winds right out to highway speeds. This car seems to be a rare model from all I have learned. The underneath of the car is surface rusted and there is a small hole under the drivers seat. I had the Dr side frame rail professionally replaced(it was very soft right where the control arm bushing bolts to frame). i also had them replace the control arm bushing while Andover Wheel and Frame had it all apart. The other frame rails are not soft at all. There is some rust behind the rocker panels but otherwise the underbody is not that bad. The body shows no rust on exterior and only a few door dings otherwise it is in excellent cond. The interior is black cloth and is in amazing condition. I have the factory spare tire with jack and all original dealer brochures and owners manual(this was a one owner car when i bought it.) The radio works and has great heat. The fuel gauge does not presently work but I traced it down to the sending unit, and just received a used unit in the mail yesterday. This car also has a gauge package on the counsel and they all work(even the clock). The car has all new exhaust and fuel lines. The tires are very nice. i have the rear window louver and the right side louver but am missing the left side louver(they are plastic) I put new strong arms on the rear hatch and the push button opener in the glove box works great. I also modified a small trailer receiver and welded it to the frame(looks factory). i love this little car but it don't love me!! I have listed everything I have done to this car below and what I have invested in it.

Purchase price $5500
shipping from OH to MN $600
Transfer tax/license $350
Complete Gronk conversion kit $350
Mech to install and do the ECM Test conversion $300
Fix frame rail $700
new rear shocks and back lid strong arms $100
Fuel sender used but good $90
AMX Wheels set of four $300
 invested total so far $8,290

My asking price with all original parts that were replaced by Gronk system and the rare wheels   $6000 i have no idea how to post pics so email me and I will send them to you.

I have an update: The eagle is up and running great. Timing was off and the float level needed to be reset. i also replaced the trans mount and fixed the fuel gauge. I am still going to sell her though. Keep an eye on ebay because she will be listed soon.
