Hi all, I went and looked at a 1986 AMC Eagle yesterday. Everything on it seemed pretty good considering it had 56,000 miles. My biggest concern was a slight clunk from the mid/rear end when accelerating from a stop and coming to a full stop. Any ideas on what this could be from? Something in the driveline or rear suspension?

Transmission mount is a trouble spot.

X2 on the transmission mount will clunk when first put into drive and sometimes multiple clunks if the mount is really bad

I Don't know why. But everybody's always talking about their STI or That guys EVO, I think I'll stick with my old, but reliable AmC. Did I ever tell you I was Full blooded Eagle?
