Spirit vs sx4 floorpans?
« on: January 27, 2016, 12:41:32 AM »
I am planning a fun project involving a spirit, my question is does the sx4 model have a different floorpan to accomodate the 4wd system?
is there room for 4wd parts under the floor of a regular spirit?

There is a thread here somewhere, and yes there is a difference. I think if I remember correctly, an Eagle floor pan (actually it would be the tunnel) was grafted in.

Did you mean SOTE? He cut the floor from his XJ to put in the Spirit (of the Eagle) but cut waay too much of the floor so he could take it off/on. If you do AW4, then only a small part under the driver's seat needs doing.

Just an FYI, but SOTE is currently for sale. Just the empty shell with rear diff. If not sold, the county will be hauling it for scrap as abandoned because it has to be gone for me to get the permit to finish my cabin (I'm moving there as soon as the mobile home in town is sold and my motorhome is running)

AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!
