yep, on the transfer case the trans in is 21 splines and driveshaft out is 27 splines.
Time to research, hoping I don't have to search around for too many different parts to make this work.
I plan to rebuild the trans too, and install both fresh at the same time. stock from a 85 sedan so 998. not sure if that helps with any info.
Better to bail and get a newer 242? easier fit?
(Also Ill leave this here but open to replacing the trans to a different one (upgrade) if anyone has any suggestions that will mate up nice to the stock 4.2 and 242. plan to rebuild motor next summer with 4.0 head most likely).
