In the aftermath of my epic struggle to replace my valve cover gasket, my SolVac seems to have quit working, in that the idle is not being raised when I activate the headlights or AC. As a result, the load is actually dropping the idle down to where it just barely runs. When I think of all the stuff I disconnected/reconnected to get the valve cover off, it's quite possible that I screwed up something that broke the SolVac.
My understanding is that the solenoid is what raises the idle when the electrical load increases, so my problem must lie with the solenoid and its circuitry, not the vacuum stuff. Does that sound right to you guys?
My plan is to first apply +12 volts directly to the solenoid and see if it moves; if it does, then I'll start tracing the circuitry back...
Thanks,
JB
