Anyone know of a good manual shifter that fits nicely in the Eagle?  The xj one does a good job but I can't find a decent one.

Would rather buy a cheap aftermarket for my np242 that a 3rd busted pos used one.

Been looking for the same thing, Novak has the shifter but it is not cheap.

Nightpath

Yeah...you're paying $$$ for their design not for the item. I've seen it, although it's well made it is vastly overpriced.

Just wish I had one to copy

One could probably be rigged up with the right type of wire and lever. 1 lever to put into 4x4 modes down to 4lo, another to put it back

Look at Grand Wagoneer floor shifters (under driver's seat) That's what I'm going with or a PTO cable operated from under the dash. I HATE the XJ/MJ design that's in my Comanche. My knee rests on it when driving and I ache afterwards.

I also dislike losing the valuable floor real estate so I have a column shift automatic.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

I liked novaks solid linkage shifter better than the cable. I think im going to build a solid linkage shifter from scratch with the shifter mounted directly to the tranny rather than the floor.
