nice coupe! looks to be in similar condition to mine, just better paint.
its funny you mentioned the heater fan not working cause mine has some issues as well. only works on high and makes a funny buzzing noise.
don't really need it all that often in the dallas area, so haven't taken the time to finish it.

do you plan on doing any work on the suspension?
i just ordered springs for mine and I'm trying to figure out if the coupes use the same rear leaves as the SX4s and Kammbacks, or the same as the wagons and sedans. i ordered the springs listed for the sedans from Generalspringskc so I'm really hoping i got the right thing. do you know?

congrats on the coupe, tho! i love mine. and it gets stared at constantly. no one ever knows what they are looking at.

Local company to me being in KC. Seems a pretty solid place to get Leafs for our AMC's. Did you call them directly? They're pretty good about answering concerns.

So can I expect a sweet paint job in the future, like Pepe, or are you keeping it the same?

No paint job in the near future.  The previous owner had a mid priced MAACO paint job just put on it, so its in pretty good shape.  I'm taking it into the body shop later this week to have a new vinyl roof installed, along with pinstriping.  Then I can put the interior trim and the passenger seat back in!

Today was the first chance I've had to work on the coupe since I picked it up, and I got a lot of little stuff done

- screwed on the front marker lights
- put nuts on the back of the taillights - there were only two on each side holding it in
- tightened down gas tank filler tube
- spliced a taillight wire, replaced a taillight bulb
- replaced fuse for AC/fan.  Fan works now, but car doesn't produce a lot of heat, the needle barely makes it to the C on the temp gauge.  Hoses and radiator don't feel very warm.  I'm suspecting there is no thermostat in the car, other than the new one I found in the trunk.  So purchased supplies today to replace thermostat and heater hoses tomorrow.
- Installed grille
- Installed 1" spacers in the back
- Bought a new flasher for the turn signals, need to locate the old one which I understand it tucked up under the dash

Yesterday I picked up the car from the upholstery/body shop.  I had a new vinyl top installed, along with having the back side window plastic inserts painted, the trim around the back window painted, and pin stripes put on.  Here is a picture of it in yesterday's snow storm, I'll take some more pictures tomorrow.

Wow, that thing is looking great!

You will love how the bigger eagles ride too, nothing against the smaller ones, but it's a difference for sure

Looking forward to more pics

Thanks everyone for the compliments.  I'm really feeling luckier every day to have gotten this car.  It looks and drives great.  These coupes will really grow on you!

Today was cooling system day.  I drained and flushed the cooling system, after about 20 gallons the water was coming out pretty clean.  Put in new heater hoses, upper radiator hose, thermostat (oops, forgot to install it the first time I put on the housing.  Prompted a trip to OReilly's an hour later to pick up a new gasket), heater control valve, and radiator cap.  I also cleaned out the overflow reservoir, there must have been 2" of sludge in there. I now have heat in the car, and the car now operates in the normal operating range on the temp gauge.  I finished up in time to get some pictures of the car without a snow storm going on.
