New to Eagle Den
« on: February 03, 2014, 10:07:09 PM »
 :newbie:
Hello, and thanks for letting me in. Also, thanks in advance for your advice & suggestions, I bought my first Eagle last January after lusting after the one I had spotted roaming around in the sloppy snow like it was no biggie. The more I researched, the more I had to have one. I looked for years (in several states) off and on before I finally landed an Eagle of my own, and despite some issues I have NEVER been disappointed in the buy. I get a lot of strange looks, and a lot of compliments and thumbs up as I pass too! I was once offered double what I paid for her by another Eagle fan, and another guy snapped her picture while I was eating in a snack shack. Ha, some people talk trash but I love, lOvE, LOVE this car! She has a lotta miles on her, but doesn't bother either of us too much. A little here n there upgrades keep us both rolling happily along in stylin' 80's comfort. Looking forward to interacting with other Eagle flock members and comparing notes & stories!

that's a good question casper, seeing as I prefer to be called an oddball or just strange, besides the word kook could scare people.

WELCOME!!!! You will not find a more comprehensive and complete collection of information and mechanical support for any other car out there than here, at this forum. ANYthing you might have a question on you can find information either through old posts and threads, and if your still stumped, the Eagle owners here are very knowledgeable and eager to help a fellow Eagle owner. Be ready to soar my friend.......why drive a car when you can fly in an eagle!

Hello, Sheagle. Welcome to the Den. This is the roosting place of some rare (and I don't mean half-cooked :P) birds.

I'm guilty of not posting pictures of our Eagles...but nevertheless would like to see yours. I've started another thread on why I haven't put up pix of ours. :eagle:

Hello!
Thanks for putting out the welcome mat for me! Glad to (virtually) meet you all! I joined a coupla Facebook pages and I think I may have seen a few of ya on there too! So, my first of many dumb questions...how do I  give people eggs? I am still learning about the site and spend most of my time reading problem posts from others, hoping to apply new knowledge to my imperfect but lovely Eagle, Fancy. She is a super high milage BEAST! (A mechanic checked her out and said all cylinders are holding excellent compression, almost factory standard..much to his surprise due to her age/milage.) I am thrilled to be one of the obsessed kooks in the club. I tried to post a pic, but my file was too large... ::)

You don't give eggs anymore. Instead they are called thumbs up and you can find them under a member's username.

A lot of us use image hosting sights like photobucket or flickr to post our sites. There are threads on how to do that as well.

Welcome! You'll love it here as much as you love your Eagle. There are some great stories here as well as some very helpful members. If I had not been here, my car would not have gotten saved after an accident. You can find the post here somewhere, but my car should have been totalled.

Best of luck! I'm on the FB pages as well!

I like to to tell people my Eagle is like a Ferrari. It's quirky, tempermental, border-line exotic, and something you don't see everyday.  See? Makes perfect sense....
