So I finally found the store (not that its hard to find, I'm just dumb), and was wondering if it's actually up so I can buy things.  I saw these cool keys that I'd like to get.  sucks that I cant have it cut for use though.

Please do not order anything from that old store site.  It will not work correctly.  Let me know what you need and I will see if it is still available.

I have asked ken and Paula more than once to do that.  So far they have not.  I wish I could as I know it is misleading folks.

any chance it's going back up anytime in the future? I just bookmarked the forums so it's like this for me, but I couldn't find the store cause I don't even see the home page.  Who does the money go to if someone buys something? could you issue a refund or is it not to you guys.

The money in the old nest days went to support the Nest and its activities, and to replace/increase the stock of merchandise available.  These days, if you should get something from what I have left the proceeds go to support the Den, I get nothing from this.  I think the paypal function has been disabled.  At least I hope so as I would have no idea someone ordered anything unless they tell me. So, if you want something get in touch with me here so that I can let you know whether I still have it or not.

I wasn't trying to imply that you got any proceeds.  I assumed it all went to the den.  If you own the rights to the site (I thought you said it was owned by you..) Don't you have access to the Host site where you can make modifications to the forum and whatnot?  I'd assume you could remove the store there, or at lest remove the link to the page.

I do not own the Den site Kyle.  Ken and Paula Proulx do.  I was recruited by them because I did own the Nest, thru an LLC I created some years back.  When my health was bad one of the three folks listed as agents of the LLC for the Nest took over.   I dissolved the LLC so that Ken could get the rights to the Nest and bring it back to life.  The admin who was running the Nest at that time asked Ken for financial assistance to keep it going and Ken had everything transferred to him, my dissolving of the LLC allowed him to complete the transition.  All money ( a substantial amount)  held by the LLC was transferred to that admin to keep things going.  I did keep the inventory as most of it was purchased with my personal funds.

So, now folks know the rest of the story.

Must have gotten the nest and den mixed up..  I don't think the store is a big deal, unless you get a lot of messages about it.  If the Paypal option is disabled, I'm sure it's fine anyway.

I just hope it is disabled Kyle.   To answer another question you had.  Yes, I would like to see the store reopened.  I feel our prices were reasonable considering they included shipping to the US AND Canada.  I even gave breaks on shipping to our overseas members as I felt they needed a break too -- we lost money on those, but it was my philosophy to make parts available to all.

I agree, It would be good, and we could include peoples reproduction parts (lights, louvers, ect.) in there, so there would be no searching around for posts.  It would be one more thing that could happen to clean up the forum.  although ow that I think about it, I don't know how you'd do everybody's repro. parts, because you couldn't really have one inventory.  It'd take some trust. unless you worked like a real store (maker sells to den in bulk, den sells to buyers)   I don't know just an Idea.  But again, It would be really cool to have a store.

We sold those reproduction keys that you liked, that way.  It did slow the process down as we would receive the order, then I needed to send the funds to the individual who made them and then she would ship the key(s).  It adds so many more steps and ones that the Den could not really control.
