Where did you get yours?

I don't remember.  I think I bought them online, so maybe RockAuto?

Oh and duh! I got a quick clip of the motor running. Sorry, you know how audio samples go when trying to listen from a cellphone mic! Plus it was windy and I kept talking! :) But you can tell it's sounding much better than the last video I posted!

What did you do to fix it?

Prafeston

Well I hope these AutoZone ones last for awhile. I guess I'll find out. They were the cheapest ones I could get locally.

I have no idea what happened to fix it. I filmed the car running up in KC and there was no oil pressure and you could hear it making a pretty terrible noise. Maybe their gauge was broken or not hooked up right? And all the shop here in town did was switch some vacuum lines around and tune the carb a little bit. Sounds like it was a pretty simple fix that the other shop just wasn't willing to find. They had me believing it was pretty much a ruined engine.

I'm hoping it's still got some life left in it.

Well I scored some goodies this weekend for Penny. I installed new rear marker lights and put the front end back on. Also installed my Cherokee Hook style wiper arms with some new wipers. Here is another recent video of the 4.0 engine running. Idle sounds a bit high, but other than that not too bad.

The two marker lights on the left got put on today.

My driver side bezel was cracked so I got a replacement.

80s Grill with just one broken slat at the very top in the middle.

Spirit grill with a hole in the grill and several of the slats cracked and missing pieces. I'm considering cutting out all of the slats except for the main cross and then installing some sort of mesh/chicken wire behind it.

And then I also tried out all 3 grills on the car. Well, I installed the 80 grill and rested the other two over top to see which one I'd like better.

I like the grills in the second and third pictures. It looks better with some vertical lines in there.

#3 or #1, if you were planning on blacking her out... #2 would look a bit out-of-place with the chrome T IMO.

A question regarding the Cherokee wipers though... Can they stand vertical on their own? Unlike our original arms. It irritates the snot out of me when I am washing a vehicle and can't put (& leave) up the wiper arms.

P.S.
I just got caught up on the whole engine not being bad, I missed that when I was out of town apparently. But Congrats, so glad to hear that it wasn't as big of a problem that you were thinking it was. So you get to take her to Utah with you now too.  :occasion14:

my sister has a 94' Cherokee and the wiper arms do not stand up by themselves. now as for later models I have no idea.

So glad to hear she is running! You should look into a new carb unless you were planning on fuel injection.

I'm a little goofy but I like the Spirit grill. Never did care for the egg crate style. Also very happy to hear the engine isn't a loss.

Heard back from the shop. The new 2" lift rear leaf springs lifted it more like 5" and the new shocks I bought won't even remotely fit and the rear shackles are apparently laying flat. I will be calling General Spring KC tomorrow.
