When you first install new lift springs, they always lift more than advertised. They may just need some time to settle with the weight of the car on them.

Also, your old springs were probably sagging a bit, so 2" above stock may appear to be more like 4" above where your car was.

Yeah, but they were asking if the leafs were even meant for my car. They said they seemed way too short and the only way to even get them to mount has the rear shackles laying flat. Should I just call General Spring KC and see about getting the normal stock springs and seeing if they'll take the lifted ones back?

If the shackles are laying flat, then there is probably something wrong with those springs.  I would call General Spring and see what they have to say.  My shackles are close to vertical with stock replacement springs on, so even if 2" up meant 2" in, my shackles would still be angled fine.

Yeah, I need to call them. Was waiting on pics from the shop of the shackles and what the car looked like with the lifted springs, but they never sent them today. So I guess I'll just call the spring place tomorrow anyway.

Well here is what the rear shackles look like with the new leaf springs that were supposed to give me a 2" lift. Apparently they seemed way short with the arched leafs and it made the shackles lay almost all the way flat. Still don't have a shot of the car from a wide angle.

Well here is what the "2 lift looks like! I'd say that it's a bit larger than "2!! I'll have to figure something out. Guess I better call GeneralSpringKC tomorrow and see if I can't just get a regular set.

I probably wouldn't of had them arch the springs but I've heard they do settle after a bit.  When you arch a spring the space between perch and shackle will get closer..

As the spring settles it should start using the shackle..

Yeah, but how long will it take to settle? And I can't even put a shock in there right now. I think I'm just gonna see what the spring place will do for me. I'm in KC now and will be heading back to Rolla this weekend. I'd like to take a new set back down with me and then return the arched ones when we are coming back through.

Wonder if you get custom shackles... Think you can get the front raised to look good?

They don't even really need to be custom.  Lift shackles for some model jeep (don't remember which ones) fit the Eagle.  When I got my replacement leafs, I also got some new shackles, which were 1" longer than stock, but the closest they had in stock.

Thanks Don, some others on the Facebook page also suggested what you did in the PM. The shop said they tried prying back on the shackles when lowering it, but that the springs were just too short.

It looks like I'm going to have to completely remove the top shackle bolt as well. Looks like they didn't replace those bushing even though they had them.
