Door handle with care
« on: December 07, 2013, 06:19:38 PM »
So I've already gone thru my door handle stash and even had to outsource one (thanks Vangremlin ) but this morning I had a scare .
Yesterday it was raining hard and overnight it dropped into the 20s. Came out this morning and opened the door and it was a little stuck, got in drove off all is well but.....
Stopped at the store and when I came back it doesn't work! Thought I broke it for sure!

took thenpanel off this afternoon and Luckily it was just the rod inside came out of the hole, but the little clip thing that keeps it in the hole is broken.
It's working now but without that clip I think it will fall out again soon

Anyone know a source for those little clips?

Thanks
Rob c

I might have some.  Show me a picture of the old one so I can find the right one for you.  These are the slippery plastic ones, not the OE metal ones.  Make sure when you have the panel off to lubricate all of the linkages well.

Those should be available at the parts store in the dorman help section.

absolutely. Just make sure you get the right size/direction you need
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!
