it was great seeing everyone again, and it was also great to meet shanebo. eaglebeek, you can thank my son for the coathanger, he forgot to clean out the back of mom's truck
I guess that is a good thing this time. the drive back home was interesting to say the least. when I stopped for gas in wellington, the guy across from me came over and said "I haven't seen one of those in years!" he told me growing up his dad had a hornet and his mom had a rambler wagon. I think it made his day. a little further north I had a big rig passing me, next thing I hear is a air horn. I look over and he is waving an AMC hat at me with a big smile on his face. darn crazy truckers
then when I was almost home I saw a state trooper coming up on my left and then quickly slowed down. I thought he saw that my trailer had no plate on it. (I ripped it off backing up the trailer earlier in the day) he stayed back there for a minute pulled alongside and gave me a big thumbs up! well at least I didn't get pulled over
after that just a little bit of snow on the summit but it was clear the rest of the way home. I am looking forward to getting together in December. sounds like a lot of fun! I will keep everyone posted on the progress of the build, but it will be a long process. have a great week! LAZ
