Gil is Worried
« on: August 28, 2013, 12:14:44 PM »
GilSX/4 is worried.  He sees little activity here and is wondering why folks don't post more.  I shared with him that our regulars are probably wanting to see the dust settle.  What do you think?

Or the members on the other sites need to be made aware that it is here. I check all 3 lately, but try to post here and on the 'Nest. I am also wondering what Ken is up to. I have not heard from him or Paula for a few weeks. I hope he is not in the hospital again....Rich

Ken is still around.  He sent Gil and I couple of messages during the past couple of days.  I think he is undergoing treatments again which do wipe you out.

I think part of the issue with the "nesters" not appearing here for the most part is they are scared of the site, just because of how it appeared out of the blue. but look at most of that crowd.  how many people do you think over there know who gil or iowaeagle is?  most have only been a member while it was under steves control, in the meantime, the veteran members are either trying to stay under steves good side, or have been banned altogether. [suspicious]I think if we could use amceaglenest as a url and name, that would already attract people just by the name. [/suspicious] I hope ken is doing all right, and hope to see him on the forums when he can be.

Ken is on right now.  I think you are right.  Perhaps when the new look and content appears we can be a bit more aggressive in our marketing.

OK -- I kind of remember that.  I think my kids were older when that came out.  I am not worried.  When things settle down and the new look and format comes out, we will do well.  We just have to keep everybody healthy.

Hi Guys.  I hadn't been on the "Nest" in a while. Didn't know about this site until I got an email from Gil. It's GREAT that you now have the "DEN" to maintain the original design of how the "Nest" should have stayed.  Even though I no longer have an AMC Eagle, I still think it is one of the best cars ever designed and made. Glad to hear Ken is still around.

I think it needs more time to be found.
Time and patience. It's summer and there's lots of competition from many activities. Winter is coming and folks will be online more :computer: :eagle:

1983 Eagle Limited Wagon, parts; sold

2007 Hyundai Accent, radical downsize from minivan, wife's car and she loves it!

x2.  I've been lurking quite a bit myself

@ Rollguy:  how can you be so sure?  How do you know he's not using a computer at another site?  If you're going on his IP address, he can change out his NIC card and then renew his IP address.  Or have like 3-4 pc's running at home.

It's not impossible.
