Okay team. With the heater on I get a bad smell. It smells like burning almost like a welding slag smell. When outside the car I cant smell It. Only inside the vehicle. It gives me a headache so I need to figure it out. Thanks

Just a wild guess, is your blower motor working?  Could be an overheating/burned up motor.

I'll guess a heater core starting to seep.   Hot used coolant and MIG welding smell similar now that I think about it........

The motor was working when I got the smell.  I pulled the resistor and it looked like it was working hard.  One of the coils was crispy looking.  I decided to replace the motor as I suspected it was over drawing.  Plugged in a new motor and wheel and all is good... other than the lingering nasty burnt electrical smell.
