Here is a switch for intermittent wipers.  If you think you want it, shoot me a PM.

I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.

Thanks for any help! Im kinda freaking out a bit... this was like the WORST time to have this die on me  :-[

Its a 1986, and does have a tilt wheel.

To be honest im not quite sure what kind of wipers it has, I THINK it used to move into two postions when turned to the right, but it was starting to get weird towards the end so im not sure what it was actually doing (may have been turning in the dash) If it did have two postions going to the right those were two speeds correct?

Those are the part numbers id found, With those part numbers is it possible to  get it through an auto parts store?

I've read that the wiper switch from the 80s Ford Trucks/Bronco is the same. I looked it up, and the parts stores carry it, the picture looks the same. I believe people have done it on here. But I think the hole in the dash needs to be made a little wider in diameter as the switch is just a tad bigger. Hopefully somebody will chime in.

I once had one that I thought was 2 speed because it didn't turn to the left.  I finally realized it was stiff because it hadn't been used for a very long time.  After I sorta forced it I discovered I had intermittent wipers.
I do know the one in the picture is intermittent and I'm sure it came from an Eagle.

If it DOES have int wipers will a NON int switch prevent it from working? what about vice versa?

There is an alignment tab on int switches that non-int don't have so they won't fit together accidentally and fry the wiring.

Good....just wanted to make sure I dont break something trying to fix this lol. Thats the small wire that is coming out of it in Jims picture yes?

Ground wire I think (since the dash is plastic)

I think so, too.  From what I understand from other people's problems, ground is often a problem with these switches.  I think some have made a separate ground to some solid metal - thing.

I bought an intermittent setup from a late '70's model. It doesn't fit, The problem is that the thread part is larger than the hole.

Does the later (Eagle) intermittent replacement switch fit an '85's dash?

Any updates on this? My int wiper switch is on final approach for the trash bin.
