I found some Altezza Mustang lights in an '89 convertible that I test fit (needs some mods, but looks interesting)
I can't upload to photobucket anymore for some reason? Facebook to the rescue!

If it was body color, maybe.... too much chrome for me.

Yeah, I'm not a fan. Looks like some lights you find on the back of a tuner Civic! :)

I recall someone modifying some of those Fox-body rustang tail lights to fit an SX/4. It was a big, gold, lifted SX/4 on white wagon wheels and mud terrain tires. Can't find the image or recall who owned it. He cut them to fit into the back of the Spirit body.

You could probably fab some sheet metal fillers and paint em satin black, and it'd look decent. Could open em up and satin black the chrome for those chome-haters.

That was StrikeEagle and he modded both his headlights and his taillights from more modern cars.

Don't recall what the headlights were from..

And the taillights look a lot like what carnuck has here.

Strike Eagle used Mustang tail lights and Dodge Dynasty headlights. Carnuck, Photobucket was down this morning for me also. What does it look like from the side? I know the Mustang tail lights are square at the end and the Eagles are on an angle.

there are mustang led taillights that are tinted black that would look much better then those euros. if i was a good fabricator id go with them

carnuck

I didn't mount them. I plan to paint the background black instead of the current chrome. Stuff to play with this winter.

What year headlamp did those Dynasty headlights come out of? And what modding was needed?

I'll ask him next time I talk to him.

Any updates? Been thinking about this sweet sweet mod

I talk to Paul today. They are from a 88-93 Dodge Dynasty. He bought new reproductions. I found them on Rock Auto less than $20, but not many left. You'll have to buy sockets also. He said he had to trim off tabs from the headlights and he cut the headlight bezel to fit and reinforced the bezels with some metal. The headlight bezel holds it in and the way he adjusted them is with some plastic shims. Also, some sheet metal needs to be cut to clear the back of the bulb socket.
