what type of fluid do you use in your Eagle's transmission

I just want to make sure I don't get the wrong stuff.and if there is something better that super-cedes the original.

I used Dextron 2 in mine and used it in the transfer case also.

Yes, this is what I use... I couldn't remember how to spell Dexron (or say it for that matter)... actually, I was having a total brain farrt, and I couldn't even remember the word.  

But that's what I meant...   Sorry for being so vague.

it's Dexron, no T.  ;D Use the Dexron III or it might say Dexron/Mercon on the bottle. There is no reason to use the more expensive Dexron VI. The Torqueflight transmission is a Chrysler transmission and a lot of the Mopar guys like to use Type F for a firmer shift.

I called it Dextron for years until a buddy corrected me a couple years ago.  ;D

AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

I find ATF +3 or +4 works really good in the TF998 w/lockup, helps to delay the lockup a little longer and gives firm shifts for towing.
