Anyone done anything to adjust legroom in the front of their Eagle? I'm 6'4" tall and Im always having a problem with my right knee contacting the shifter. From time to time, I end up bumping it into neutral (knee is hitting the button)

that sucks.  I'm 6'3" and I don't find the eagle too bad for leg room... it's not great but I've got the seat all the way back and I find it ok...

I had a friend who was 6'7" tall when he got a 64 1/2 Mustang.  He couldn't get in it.  The Ford dealer drilled new holes and moved the seat back.  I don't know whether the seat rails or floor could be modified in an Eagle.  I would want to know it wasn't going anywhere in case of a collision.

Altho I haven't tried it on an Eagle, I have made some more leg room on other older cars by unbolting the seat tracks from the seat frame, and making some new bolt holes on the track and/or seat frame that allowed me to bolt the seat to the frame in a "farther-back" position.   Like I said; don't know if its doable on an Eagle.

I did that with a plate between and 1inch "hockey pucks" between the plates and brackets for a lift since I'm 6' tall
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

I took out the driver's seat and track in my Bronco II in high school and had a friend help me bolt it to the floor further back.  It worked well.  Rearended a Grand Cherokee who stopped short with no lights on and the seat didn't budge.  Neither did anything on that rig.  Can't say the same for the Grand Cherokee.
