:help: working on my 84 wagon with mostly rebuild 258 kept stock(less than 4,000miles)...  a neverending project... just had to pull out both manifolds to get to the o2 sensor that was stuck... anyway while it was appart  we noticed that i had a few spots where the exhaust gasket was blown and it seems that the manifold is slightly warped...
that said Id love some input on what others have done or would do given the chance  ;)
I've seen shorty clifford headers (57-2300 "6=8 HEADERS") and shorty blackjack dynomax headers (DYN88739) both dual exhaust and would need some modification to the rest of the exhaust....

For just over $100 shipped to me i got a single outlet h.o. cherokee to fit the axle perfectly. than peiced the existing exaust to fit to it. it would take some skill to make it work.

I've got the Clifford long header on my 258.  I'm happy with it so far, but I've only run the motor for about 15 minutes in total, LOL.

You could always do this:

Or do a Clifford 6=8 dual exhaust

As far as intake, just a port n polish would be an upgrade where you can keep the stock.
