Interior trim
« on: May 17, 2012, 03:29:59 PM »
I have recently acquired some trim for the rear  head liner area in my eagle wagon that does not fit. :banghead: My question is was the trim ever altered or changed ???  The mounting holes are almost a full inch or more off set from the ones in the trim. All help appreciated.

as far as i know they were all the same...unless you are dead set on keeping it bone stock i would pick up some self drilling screws and make it work...

Perhaps at some point in production the hole locations were moved? Or maybe it is from a Concord wagon where the holes locations were different?  ??? I'm pretty sure that for the Eagle wagon the trim pieces were the same throughout all model years. Since you have the part already I would find some way to make it fit. The self drilling screws may work.
1986 AMC Eagle Wagon Limited. Work in progress. Most likely have the only one in town. :)

that was my next course of action but the curvature of the trim seems to to line up either.

What year is your Eagle? Maybe someone can get you the proper trim piece.

What piece is not lining up?  If it's the corner pieces and they have been off a while, it can be hard to remember how they go on.  Maybe some pictures with the pieces held in place?  I'll go out to mine tomorrow and take pictures to show the correct positioning if that is what you need.
