Hey guys I am trying to find out what car our large dome lights with the map lights originally came from.....I believe it is from a ford but I can't be sure. Does anyone know...They look a lot like an f-150 dome light but they are different.
I Don't know why. But everybody's always talking about their STI or That guys EVO, I think I'll stick with my old, but reliable AmC. Did I ever tell you I was Full blooded Eagle?

Some of the Eagles and Jeeps came with the them originally.  The mid-90's large Bronco's also had ones that were almost identical.

It might be easier to swap out the whole light fixture for the Ford version, as lense covers may be easier to find.  I don't know of anyone that sells replacements for the AMCs.

I saw one very recently on a certain big on line auction site.
I'm right 98% of the time, and I don't care about the other 3%.

Zoro

The ones we're talking about were also used in FULL SIZE Cherokees, Wagoneers, Grand Wagoneers as well as various Fords. There was something else old I was in recently that had the same light that was neither a Ford or AMC but for whatever reason I can't remember what it was. ???

Is this the style map light? This pic is of one out of a concord I believe.

I looked everywhere to see if there were new reproductions available, but I had no luck. There were several to be had on some auction sights and they seem to be in the 30-50 dollar neighborhood, but ill bet you could find one much cheaper at a junk yard. I believe these dome lights were an available option most AMC models throughout the 70' and 80's. I was just at the junkyard the other day and I saw several of them on wagoneers and one in a concord sedan....They should be fairly easy to come by in most junk yards. If not let me know I could probably snatch one up next time I do a parts run.
