I am in need of a tranny and transfercase for a 1982 amc eagle sx4 with a 258 this will be my 3rd swap in a year so please help i am so tired of doing the same job over and over.

How is the kickdown rod (whatever its called) adjusted.

There dose not seam to be any adjustment on it the kick down worked fine i think i have just gotten a bad tranny the rod it self is fine and no wear or rust the tranny still workws but has alot of shavings in it and the fluid is grayish red it is making a wizzing noise with a vibration in drive at  certain speeds
